Your Life. Your Path. Your Story

Jamie braving nature's obstacles with her enthusiastic smile!

Hi, I am Jamie, and I live in Pacheco and work in Pleasant Hill for Children and Family Services. I consider myself a good/honorable social worker.

My Supervisor told me about the w.o.m.e.n group, and we did the Muir Beach hike, and I was hooked.

I had been looking for people who wanted to be outdoors and enjoy each other’s company.

I love the women I have met, the diversity of life experiences, and the supportive nature of these women.

My favorite part of enjoying gourmet food outdoors with w.o.m.e.n is the opportunity to

try things I have never had or liked…yep, I am talking about Olives.

Say hello to Jamie's furry friend who comes along on the hikes!

My favorite part of the w.o.m.e.n events is the hikes and the views. Beaches are my favorite, but the beauty of nature is so calming for me and allows me to connect with Mother Earth and leave the stress of my job far behind. It is balance and joy combined.

I love that the group is a beautiful collection of women with whom to share life experiences, laughter, and good food. The gourmet spread is a taste sensation for my taste buds, and I don’t have to cook it because I am no chef.

I adore all of it. I have met some amazing women who I have such admiration and respect for. It is something I look forward to each week.

I have learned to put myself out there, even if it brings up feelings of nervousness (meeting new people, being able to complete the hikes). This group has made a significant difference in my life. I love connecting with beautiful, intelligent, strong women who care about the world around us.

I've also learned that I love hiking and to always, always bring enough water.

Jamie fills in the blank:

I would never go on a hike without bringing my women gear.

Connecting with w.o.m.e.n outdoors means feeding and nourishing my soul.

Spending time outdoors with other women has allowed me to find my inner joy and appreciate who I am as a person.

From Raquel,

Thank you for your constant kindness and contribution to the w.o.m.e.n group. Your peaceful presence consistently makes an impact during every event you participate in. Keep smiling and being a strong w.o.m.e.n.
